Web Development

A digital home for the work you do.

From content-rich WordPress sites to custom experiences, we build websites that make ideas easy to find and use. Structure, design, and development stay with one team.

Before we startA clear proposal

What you get

What this work includes.

The pieces that come with web development.

  • Structure first

A sitemap and a purpose for each page, agreed before design locks anything in.

  • Design around your content

Layouts shaped by your real words and images. What you review is close to what goes live.

  • Built to be fast

Careful front-end work that loads quickly on a phone and stays readable for search engines.

  • Editable by you

WordPress, or a lighter editor, where it helps you change words and images without asking us.

  • Every screen, every visitor

Works at every size, can be used from a keyboard, and stays readable. Access is part of the build.

  • Launch, handled

Domain, hosting, and the go-live checklist. We set it up and walk you through the keys.

A good fit

This is a good fit when…

  • You need a site that explains the work clearly to the people it is for.
  • The current site looks fine and still fails to help anyone take the next step.
  • A template got you started, and the organization has outgrown it.
  • You want one team for design and development, not a handoff between two.
How it works

From first conversation to something you can use.

Here is how we work together on web development.

  1. 01

    Conversation

A call or a few notes about the organization, the audience, and what the site needs to do.

  2. 02

    Proposal

Scope, timeline, and a fixed price, written down before we start.

  3. 03

    Design and build

Shared in stages. You see real pages early, with your content, rather than a reveal at the end.

  4. 04

    Launch and handoff

We go live together, then show you how to update the site. Care can continue if you want it.

Scope

Clear before the work begins.

A focused site covers the pages a visitor needs, custom design, and everything required to launch. Larger sites, several languages, or extra tools are quoted from there. You see the price before work starts.

A typical engagement covers

  • Custom design, shaped around your content
  • The pages named in the proposal
  • Works on every screen size
  • Basic search setup
  • An editor for day-to-day changes
  • Launch checklist and handoff

What changes the shape

  • Number of pages and templates
  • WordPress or a custom build
  • Forms, accounts, or several languages
  • Copywriting, photography, or illustration
  • Connections to existing tools

Every engagement gets a written proposal before work starts. Tell us what you need and we will send one.

Questions

The things people usually ask.

How long does a website take?
A focused site is usually a matter of weeks from kickoff. Larger sites take longer, and the proposal says so.
WordPress or something custom?
Whichever fits the site. Content-rich organizational sites are often happiest on WordPress. A more particular experience may want a custom build. We will recommend one.
Can we update the site ourselves?
Yes. Where it makes sense we set up an editor, and we show you how to use it at handoff.
What if we already have a site?
We look at what is working and what is not, then say whether to redesign, rebuild, or change less than you expect.

Ready to bring your idea to life?

Tell us what you are building. We would love to hear about the people you want to reach and the impact you hope to make.
